Monday Blues

Is it Monday, this fasting, plain lethargy or could it be the late night in trying to figure out how to work this blog that keeping awake has been quite a chore.  Been yawning the whole morning.  Lucky thing that the Technology Communication article review scheduled for this morning has been postponed.  I should not be reviewing anything with this sleepy head, else those writers will be after me.

Did however have a discussion pertaining to human resource matters on the R&D fund management.  Looks like Jeni and Maz will have to relocate to the ET new block and be with the fund manager fulltime.  Jeni will be developing and managing the project database as well as looking into the livestock projects.  Maz will double-up as the assistant accountant checking the expenditure figures.  There is a possibilty of Faridah moving too as there is for an office assistant to handle calls, communication matters and office management.  They are going to miss the ways that we cultivate relationships around here.  If it is of any consolation, the office space is brand new.  Well, new job specs, new boss, new expectations.  Talked to them both.  Jeni is IT base, so reason for her to worry about handling the livestock projects.  Maz, incidently is equiped with an accounting diploma, so the accounting factor in the job would be smooth sailing.  Told them to set an appointment with the new manager where they will be briefed of the new jobs.  Hazaha will see to their office physical needs as the need for computers (wonder how we survived those days) and telephone/fax lines.  There is strong possibility that they will have to share the voucher printers with ET.  The cost sharing will have to be worked out.  Need to pay the new office a visit and see that they will be comfortably accomodated.

Hazaha was at Tanjung Karang earlier today to see to the construction of the billboard.  The initial application to have it erected along the Sekinchan road was not approved by the District JKR.  We had been against the idea all along because of the additional cost to be incurred.  Finalised, it will be build at the Tjg Karang research station within the stipulated RM40K budget.  The contractor expects to start work Wednesday to be completed within week.
